One’s real worth

When life hits you in the face. When everyone around you is making progress at something. You, on the other hand, feel like nothing is going your way. Things get really messy in your head and you start to question your real worth. What am I? Why am I here? Am I as good as them? Or am I just another fool who will never be noticed? If you ask yourself this kind of questions, I regret to inform you that you are headed to a wrong place.

However, you are not alone in this. When you’re in this sort of cultural jam, it may help a little to remind yourself that your true value is not what you do. Your true value is that you are a human being. I will let this sync in and say it to you again. Your true value is that you are a human being and that makes you as worthwhile as every other person. Achievement has nothing to do with it. This is your worth, your humanness.

This unconditional acceptance is extremely important to living well as it influences all your choices in life. Therefore, whenever you feel off track remember that your true value is that you are a human being and that is enough.
