“It’s not a bad idea to occasionally spend a little time thinking about things you take for granted. Plain everyday things.” – Evan Davis
In this fast-paced world we tend to take everything for granted. Morning coffees, A/C during a hot summer, time spent eating with our families, and many other blessings. We consume those blessings without feeling their worth. As a matter of fact, those “normal” blessings are what someone else is praying for. We are truly blessed with a lot of fortunes and unless we sense their value we will always be broke.
Blessings express our feelings of thankfulness. They simply need to come from the heart. When they do, they can change lives.
Therefore, let us take this as a reminder to stop for a moment everyday and count those blessings. To feel their true value.
When we do, we learn the discipline of gratitude and the importance of words in our daily lives.
Everyone has an opportunity to reflect on their lives and decide what to focus on. Will it be the tragedy, the pain, the hardship? Or will it be the blessings? You decide.
