Are You Crazy?

They call us weird if we decide to turn right when everyone else is turning left. They decide we’re stupid when we believe that we can do things in ways they’ve never been done before. They disgrace our emotionality as soon as we listen to our hearts instead of our minds searching for the right answers. They just want us to live an expectable life; a life like everybody else. As soon as we try to pave our own path being truly and genuinely who we were born to be, they ask us, “are you crazy?”

For the record, if that’s what the world calls crazy, then please call me one. Call me crazy, as my dream is to change the world one day and one person at a time. Call me crazy, as I’ll never accept what is and thus always seek new ways to what should be. Call me crazy, as I’ll live the life I desire today and not wait until I lie on my deathbed regretting that I lived it the way the world calls “sane.” Call me crazy, as Steve Jobs stated it, “because the ones who are crazy enough to think that they can change the world, are the ones who do.”

We won’t listen to those who mask their pessimism by calling themselves, realists. Those who present their criticism as a sacred manuscript that if not followed, we’re doomed to fail. They confuse courage with recklessness and optimism with being unrealistic. They share the world with us, yet we don’t live it together. In other words, we’re in the same place yet we’re not.

To the crazy ones out there, we’ll always drop jaws, lift eyebrows, bring goosebumps, shed tears, draw smiles, inspire minds, and unleash souls. We’re born to be a living proof that the impossible is undoubtedly possible. So now, are you crazy?
