It amazes me how the littlest acts we do every day make the hugest difference and leave the biggest mark in our memoris. We ought to belittle the small acts of kindness that we can do for others because we are investing our time and effort preparing for that big surprise for our loved one, or saving some money for Mother’s Day to show how much we love moms. Some of us don’t romanticize unless it’s either valentines, spouse’s birthday or anniversary.
You know, I noticed something about us humans! We care so much about the cutest, biggest, most expensive, and most pretensions gesture to show those who we truly care about how much we love them. But unfortunately, it’s never about that; it’s about those little gestures every single day that you send to them to remind them that you still love and think about them.
You don’t have to wait for a day to celebrate your love, or show your mom how much you love her. Calling your mom in the middle of the day and telling her you love her and can’t stop thinking about her will totally be priceless. Surprising your spouse with a little box of chocolate accompanied with a love letter to work in a random day means the world to them.
And as Bruce Barton once said “sometimes when I consider what tremendous consequences come from little things, I am tempted to think there are no little things”.
Can’t you see it? It’s the simplest things that make this life a much more enjoyable place to live in. Now go and do something simple that will make someone’s day.
